Arjun completed his schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir in Mumbai and then went to Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics but dropped out in his second year. He later joined an acting course at Asian Academy of Film and Television in Noida.
Arjun made his acting debut with the film "Ishaqzaade" in 2012, which was produced by Yash Raj Films. His performance in the film was critically acclaimed and he received several nominations for the Best Male Debut.
